SHORT DOCUMENTARY
2026 / 04:58 / Color
In New York, there is a 1 in 133 chance of striking an animal while driving. Animal bodies abandoned on the road and smeared into pavement are generally regarded as commonplace, if they are regarded at all. This short documentary proposes that human relations with roadkill deserve intimate engagement. Through dedicated attention and physical presence, we acknowledge an individual whose life and identity is lost to a vehicle, and locate ourselves in this death.
